View Full Version : Week 2: Still on the bandwagon?
Last week, the XFL got a lot of attention and fan interest. Did you guys watch last night's games? Will you be watching today's games? Personally, I thought they were better with the camera angles and less interviews, but they often had production problems in California (go figure). Pretty good game, though.

No one has posted in this forum, besides you and I, Marc, for three days. Is that maybe an indication?
...or maybe it's the fact that Canadian cable sports network CTV SportsNet did an internet poll, viewers voted, "Don't bother with showing any XFL highlights."
I saw the Chicago hilites last night (was that the Cali. game?), and I found it hard to watch, because both teams had a lot of white on their uniforms.

I watched both games today, but I fell asleep for the double overtime game. Go Figure...
The one big improvement from last week is the interviews. Less is more. :)

What's the matter? Aren't you reading anything I've been writing?
Maybe if there were a few more users here, you'd get some more posts. I'm an XFL moderator on another site, and we've had more than our fair share of XFL-related posts this week. I'm not trying to advertise (note I didn't give a URL); I'm just making a point.
I'm still a fan, BTW ...

Week #2 was OK... I didn't watch any full games on TV, but caught the odd few minutes now and then.
Right now, the XFL just isn't appealing to me. There's too much noise.
Ok, I like music loud, but there was one time where there were about three or four people talking... plus the fans... I get confused!... I don't like their presentation of the game and yet, that's what they're suspose to be all about.
It will be interesting to see Week #2's TV ratings.

Yes, I am reading your writing. We appreciate you posting here, stick around. :)
Moving on, uh-oh! Apparently, I heard the XFL's ratings for their Saturday night game were much worse than in the opening weekend. This isn't a good sign for the XFL, and only in their second week.

What you are saying is absolutely right. But you didn't read that the ratings this weekend went up as the game progressed into overtime. The ratings were still higher than the 4.7 that was projected by NBC for advertisers. And you also didn't read that the ratings for the XFL were higher than average NHL or NBA games. So how you interpret these numbers is a matter of whether you see the glass as half empty or half full.
