Are messsages deleted after a certain period of time on these boards?

No, they are not. As new threads are created, old ones get moved off the main board page, but can still be seen if you select to view all threads from the last year, month, etc.

Is that similar to the EZBoard approach? When the board gets 25 posts or more #26 gets bumped to the next page?

I did not know that was there, I am not too familiar with the in's and out's of these boards. That look more correct what you showed me!!!

However, (Marc) I think it would be a wise idea to always show 20 (or whatever) posts per page no matter how old they are. Whenever I go to a board and there are not very many posts showing I leave. I don't think it is worth my time to post if there are not very many posts, and that is what the tennis board currently looks like. Of coarse I don't know if I count for the majority, but that is just my opinion.

That is why I like the way EZ Board is set up on my site, it shows 15 or 20 posts, and then says page 1-10, that shows new comers that my message boards are frequently used. My board has the instant access to show it is extremely active, where I would be discouraged seeing only 8-10 threads.

Of coarse, yes I could post more to make up for it, but I am just expressing my opinion, even if my opinion sucks. :)
