Napster ruling

Another reprieve? I thought they just had one. Didn't the case originate in 1999? I wonder if we'll ever get a ruling on this.

Right. This is beginning to turn into the Microsoft case... but then again, I'm happy - long live Napster.

Did that MS case actually end? I must have been asleep that day... what happened? I just thought it kind of disappeared.

But the 9th Circuit of US Court of Appeals just made it's decision concerning Napster's appeal on October 2 to have it shut down.

(someone please tell me if I have my facts wrong on that above scentence)

This could be the end of the beginning, because Napster has already revolutioned file swapping over the internet, and there will no doubt be other such programs come along.

However, did anyone hear that Shawn Fanning has ANOTHER trick up his sleeve? I heard about this once, but this re-affirmed it...
