Does anyone else feel this whole thing is a bit... gimmicky?

I mean I understand why he wants to do it, but it just doesn't seem like a very good way to go out.

Well, if you had watched CNN/SI or ESPN over the last two days or visited any sports websites... you should OBVIOUSLY know. :)

OK, I saw it...he wants to retire with the Bills after spending last season in Miami. I say let him, if the Bills are willing to pick him up. It's a PR ploy, nothing else really--Thomas is on his last legs, he won't be the feature back. They're just throwing a bone to a longtime player and the fans. We all know the NFL Hall of Fame is nowhere near as exclusive as baseball's pompous purists, so Thomas is in for his yards and longevity. Plus the Bills may have never won a Super Bowl, but they went to 4 straight, that's not easy to do, and Thomas had a lot to do with that--misplaced helmet or not...
