Raptor Deals

The Raptors made two key deals on Thursday. What do you guys think?

Should they have given up Jackson? Is Childs going to pick up where Mark left off? Any other comments...?

Well the Williamson trade was pretty much to appease him, I think.

The other trade for Chris Childs. I don't quite get that one. I don't think Childs is that good and he's not as good as Mark Jackson. I would have expected more for Jackson. That first round pick they gave up is Seattle's from the Patrick Ewing trade I believe so it probably won't be that high.

I heard this trade was offered to the Warriors too for Mookie Blaylock but we wanted more than Childs and that probably medium to low first round pick so I'm kind of glad we turned it down.

According to some article from ESPN, I believe, the trade was made for defensive purposes. Mark Jackson can't play defense. And he's 35. Chris Childs can "D" it up a little, and the Raps get a #1 out of it. Starting to make a little more sense, but I still think the Knicks easily come out on top in this trade.
