Kendall signs $60 million dollar contract

Jason Kendall signed a $60 million dollar contract to remain with the Pirates.

Well worth it? or over paid?

I think probably he's worth it, by today's money standards. If he performs well, along with Giles and Richie, the Pirates could contend.

Kind of surprising he signed such a big contract... you don't think of the Pirates as big money spenders, but they obviously wanted this guy.

I guess when you take under consideration that he is one of the elite catchers in the game, which there aren't many. I guess it makes sense to keep him.
