So how about Jeff Kent being named the National League M.V.P.? Do you guys have any opinion on that? I agree with it. I agree with it even over Barry Bonds (who finished 2nd in the voting) because if Kent isn't there having the big year batting behind Barry Bonds, Bonds sets the record for most intentional walks in a season whenever runners are in scoring position and Bonds comes up to the plate. Kent was at least just as important to the Giants' offense to make people pay if they didn't pitch to Bonds.

I remember there were some Mets' fans on the old ezboard. I don't know if they're still here with us. But if there are, are you guys mad about it or like can understand why Jeff Kent won the Award over Mike Piazza?

I wouldn't have even mentioned Piazza's name in the MVP voting... :D. I believe Kent deserved it.

I belive that Jim Edmonds deserved it. Piazza's performance near the end of the year was not anything great and I am not bad at all at him not getting the award.
