Come the Stanley Cup Playoffs, team depth is extremely important. The 1997 and 1998 Detroit Red Wings are excellent examples of that. No matter what line Scott Bowman put out, the opposition had a tough time shutting them down and, in the end, that depth payed off for Back-2-Back Stanley Cup banners at the Joe Louis Arena.
The Blues have an excellent chance of becoming the a team that can dominant year in and year out for the entire decade. However, like the 2000 season, the Blues are running into injury problems nearing the end of the Regular Season.
Al MacInnis. Chris Pronger. Pavol Demtitra.... and more.
How will the Blues do this season? Maybe the 30 minutes/game on MacInnis and Pronger are taking their toll? Is Roman Turek strong enough in goal?
I am interested in everyone's opinions on the St. Louis Blues.
Are they the real Blues?... or just singing the Blues???
