Well, not much going on in the golf world right now. So, I thought I'd talk about our games for a minute.
If you play, what course do you usally play at? How far is your average drive? What is your handicap?
I play at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Its a 36 hole Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate designed golf resort. The course website is at http://www.dancingrabbitgolf.com
My average drive is about 245 yards, as I place more emphasis on accuracy. But, when the fairway is big, I'll let it rip :). I can send it out there about 265 yards.
My handicap is probably around 9-13. I have no time to play, but I should be getting out there a lot more hopefully soon. I just have a tough time actually finding time! But, if I want to play, I can anytime, like I said; its finding the time to play.
So, let me know about your games. :)

:D - Don't let that stop you Lee! There is no room for embareassment in golf. For the fact that most golfers, and I mean most, can't break 90 on a regular basis.

Well, I'm a long ways off from 90!!!.... I guess I could attribute that to only going out maybe 20 times/year MAX for 2 years (this spring will be my 3rd year), and the fact I've never had any lessons (except a half hour lesson about 3-4 years ago)....
The closest thing I've played to golf is putt-putt. Go figure. :D

Lee, hey well who knows, play a little more golf, practice in your yard (When its not freezing out... thats like 3 months of the year right? lol :D) and sign up for a Junior Golf program at your local club (They should have one...) this summer. Like I said, practicing in your yard can be beneficial, provided that you are not out there "beating" balls so to speak. Focus on technique when you are doing it.
Marc, well, putting is very important, so maybe you should take up the game. :)

Well, it sure seems like 3 months of the year sometimes!!!... this year, actually, was good for our area -- the season started early and ended real late, but this year will be shorter 'cuz they're re-planting all the tee boxes and greens on the front nine.
...there isn't a junior instruction class at our course, but there are junior tournaments which I'm not quite good enough to go in yet!! :)
I can't practise in the year THAT often, because it's getting to the point where most of the time I can crank the ball, but I still need lessons, and you can't get them in Smalltown, Manitoba!!!

Lee,
Well... thats tough then :D. Have you tried reading every golf book or magazine you can get your hands on. You could try to help yourself out, as marginally as it may be. Helping yourself can sometimes be difficult, but reading golf publications can't help.
And when its cold, putt in the house. :) When its finally not cold (Like July right? :D j/k) you will be a good putter, or better then you were, if you already good.

No its not. I have one, plus a mat. But really, I just get a cup and putt on the carpet... but I do use that machine once in a while.
