hey wing hater! although i have in the past felt the same, (as a leaf fan )especially in the 93`94 season but we got our revenge, how sweet it was , but i don't think he was behind the bench then ,was he? i,m not sure .anyway ,scotty bowman is not the winningest coach in the n.h.l for nothing. he has the fire of a twenty year old and the best winning persentage in n.h.l. history. i would not underestimate him as a coach or motivater. he can bring a club to life and to the cup. he is not going away. besides , he deserves more respect. get real!

Well, WingsHater, I definitely agree with your username! :) I don't like the Wings -- the team that took my Winnipeg Jets out of the NHL for good. Nevertheless, they're still a decent team and will definitely give trouble to some of the better teams (e.g.: Dallas, San Jose, St. Louis, Colorado, etc.), but I doubt they'll make it to the Conference Finals again...they haven't for the past few years, and they won't do it again... sure, they have a lot of "experience," but that doesn't help if you don't have the legs to play them on!
I don't know if Bowman was in Detroit in '93-'94... I think he left after the Pens won their second cup in '92, but I don't know if he immediately signed on with Detroit after that or not.
Well i think the Wings should get some respect but i hate them too ;)........

I'm an Avs fan so hell ya the Wings can lose all they want. They really are too old and need to start thinking about the "future" more then the "now."
