It should be interesting to see how the Vols do in college football this year. Last year, it was dissappointing, by Vols fans standards, IMO. They've sure had some great talent come through there, though, like Peyton Manning, and not to mention a couple of national championships.

TitansAngel, I'm a Kentucky fan, so we are border rivals. :) You should find a Tennessee logo and use it as your avatar...

Would love to use a Titans and Vols avatar, but would have no idea how to go about it or where to find one...

Funny you should say 'rivals' because I was rooting for UK in the playoffs...(SEC only of course...:) )

The Vols will be back in the national picture next season.

Casey Clausen had a rough Cotton Bowl, but he showed Manning-like flashes and comes back a year older, stronger, and wiser.

Travis Henry is gone, but Travis Stephens has big-game experience and the early buzz on recruit Jabari Davis is very strong. There is a precedent for a freshman RB having huge success in Knoxville--see Lewis, Jamal.

The O-Line: don't know how the Vols are shaping up here next season, so this could be something that holds them back. Mark it with an asterisk.

As for receivers, they just kicked Eric Locke off the team, but UT *ALWAYS* has solid receivers, so I'm betting they'll be OK.

The D got a HUGE boost from the return of dominating end John Henderson.

Also recruiting went well (as usual) with Tennessee picking up yet another consensus top 10 class.

The Vols struggled last year because so many players went pro at the end of the '99-'00 season. Look for last season to be a hiccup. Florida will be very strong as well, so the FL - TN game next season will once again for huge stakes.

Thank goodness that John Henderson listens to his Momma...
She wanted him to stay at UT...YAY Momma!:D
