Watching those games last weekend with the Avs the Stars would have won both if not for the Avs being on the powerplay half the time as well as the winner being scored on a 5 on 3.

Dallas is rounding into form and can proved again they can take it to another level when they need to.

It is definetly the most vetran laddened lineup in the league and with their tight checking game they are built for the playoffs.

Besides Belfour loves to play Roy, and usually gets the better of him. ( and Roy has already started a fire when he called Belfour more lucky than good the other day)

Of course the other team that could give the Stars a run is the Wings but thats going to come down to Ozzie.

Should be a great playoffs in the west!

Question: How can the Stars win the west if I predicted Colorado to win the Stanley Cup this year!?... you can only have one Western Conference champion!!! he he.. :D

I don't think Dallas will go that route this year... maybe as far as the conference finals, and it will, for the third straight year, be COL vs. DAL in the west finals... but this year, the Avalanche have improved sssooooo much since two years ago, and the Avs will become victorious this season.

I've said it all along once Newy and Lanenbrunner are back for the Stars they match up well against the Avs what it's going to came down too is goaltending and once again the Eagle gets the nod over WAAAAA.

This year, I think the Avs and Stars match up much better than the past few years... actually, let me re-phrase that... the past few years, the Avs and Stars have been pretty even, but with Hejduk and Drury now 3 years deep into their NHL careers, and also the addition of Rob Blake, and Ray Bourque has now been with the team for a whole year, I think the Avs are better than the Stars this year. In the past two conference finals, it's been a battle of not "who is the better goalie," but "who gets lucky the most," because, honestly, if I had to choose between either Roy or Belfour to lead my team to the Stanley Cup, I don't know which I'd choose -- they're BOTH good!

I agree with Lee :) the AVS are loaded with talent...although with Dallas with better goaltending and D but the AVS aren't the same in goaltending but in D they are damn good so that really cover their hole in goaltending and anyways they will be spending most of their time in the dallas zone:)
