As you all know, the NBA has a hard salary cap, compared to the NFL's hard cap. Is it better in the NBA, where one can see teams such as Portland completely "ignore" the salary cap since they have the $ resources with Paul Allen at the helm (same with Dallas now)?

Which cap would you rather see?

Personally, I seem to like the NFL-style cap more in the NBA. It evens out the playing field a bit, and forces teams to manage their money-spending.

Either way, I'm happy that the NBA decided to put a limit on player salaries. It was getting quite ridiculous ... now if only baseball got the message ...

I like the NBA's more. Even if teams are more loaded, like Portland or the Mavs, you can keep a team together for a while. Unlike in the NFL where you see a whole teams roster on the market.

I guess I'll agree. One thing's for sure: there needs to be a cap somewhere between MLB's non-existent one and the NFL's too strict one where dynasties can't be built.
