"The" Skiing Thread

I noticed snow skiing isn't getting much for props around here so I thought I would start it up.

Who else out there skis?
I myself have skied since I was 4. I grew up just about 10 minutes from a hill and would ski everyday after school.

Where do (Have) you skied?
I've been to several places in Colorado as well as Whistler Blackcomb in BC. I grew up skiing Wentworth Mountain. I also have been to Sunday Rive Maine.

Any goals for skiing
Next year I hope to go to Europe on my SB skiing. This year I'm heading back out to Whistler.

Other comments...
Skiing is a great sport that is good for anyone. You can ski hard if you're young and working for a workout or slow and steady for the elderly or anywhere in between, you set your pace. It's a great sport.

I tried skiing once, I was awful, isn't my thing.

There's a place in the Pocono Mountains in eastern Pennsylvania called "Shawnee Mountain" where I skied.

Any goals for skiing?
To avoid it, because I don't like it. :)

Well, this was going to be "Unkown Sport #6," but whatever!... we can always discuss now!!!

#1: I don't ski regularly, but I do really love it when I do!

#2: The closest and best park around is Asessippi Ski Area & Winter Park (http://www.asessippi.com)

#3: Get out on the slopes more, because I get a real big thrill on the black diamond ones!!!.... I don't just go straight down, either.... I love "pretending" I'm in a slalom (sp?) event and going back and forth around the flags!!!
