Who do you think will make the playoffs in the East and West?
Any bold persons' want to predict a Stanley Cup match up and who might come out on top in so many games?
Let it rip, only a dozen games or so left until its the real season....

At the start of the season, I predicted a Colorado vs. Maple Leaf finals..... now, I think the Leafs will have to get EXTREMLEY good goaltending and get some really lucky bounces to make it that far.... so I'm still going with my preseason pick for Colorado to win the cup (remember, that was BEFORE they had clinched a playoff berth... BEFORE a 100-plus point season... and BEFORE they had Rob Blake, and Joe Sakic and Pat Roy having a career year! :) )
...anyways, I've predicted Colorado to go all the way for the past year or two, but this year they will definitley do it.
Opposition?.. hmmmmmm.... tough. I think the inexperience in goal and also overall inexperience will contribute to the Sens losing in either the 2nd or 3rd round.... New Jersey will probably prevail again out of the East, but, for some reason, I really, really, REALLY like Washington as the "surprise" team.... I know, they're 3rd in the East, but everyone is expecting NJD to win, so I might end up taking Washington come my "official" predictions before April 11!
I think it will be Colorado VS Washinton and Washinton will come on top of Colorado.........just my 2 cents worth....
What kind of chances do the Devils have this year? No one expected them to win last year, but they did. Awaiting the experts to respond. :)

I think that New Jersey, although this sounds somewhat childish, is going to feel the pressure going in as the defending champs. Every team in every sport does after winning it all.
Even with Colorado's season and the whole West situation getting a lot of hype, I still think they will feel the pressure and that may or may not get the best of them.

Well, I agree with Peter's remaks, but wanted to add a few of my own words! :)
I don't think the Devils "came out of nowhere" last year... I mean, they were NUMBER ONE in the Eastern Conference... third in the entire league... everyone was, though, expecting Colorado or Dallas or Detroit to win it all, though... however, I think the "real experts" -- respected hockey analysts in the media -- did predict the Devils to win last year.
This year, they will definitely make the conference finals... excellent chance at the Cup Finals, too... if anyone beats them in the first two rounds, it will be a COMPLETE mistake, and probably due to something that would definitley not happen the way they're playing right now (e.g.: an injury to brodeur or something...) with their current eleven-game winning streak.

I say Colorado and NJ. I live near NJ though and that fact may have influenced my choice.
