View Full Version : Should/will Barry Sanders come back?
What do you think? Let's break it down:
Why He Should
He has never won a Super Bowl. He could try if he returns.
He could solidify himself as a true legend. Right now, he is thought of as being good, but left on such a sour note.
It would also help the NFL to have him back, although not to the extint a Jordan comeback, per say, would have.
Why He Shouldn't
He's already broken records and proven himself to have a great RB. He risks nothing but injury.
If he is happy doing things elswhere, he has the money, whatever makes him happy.
Those are just some points I thought of. Feel free to add to them and post your opinions.

Well in my opinion, I hope he does come back to the NFL. However, I don't think it is going to happen.
I still think he is one or if not the best RB all-time in the NFL. I would like to see Barry come back so he wouldn't go out on such a bad note.

No, he shouldn't come back. I'm not inside his head, but I think if he felt unfulfilled it wouldn't have been as easy for him to leave when he did, and to stay gone. He's one of the greatest running backs ever to play the game--he won't be remembered as significantly better if comes back to win a SB.

I don't want to see him come back. He has already proved most everything to the league. Coming back would only give him a chance for injury. What is left for him to prove? Realistically speaking?
Sure you could say he can prove himself even more then he already has but at the same time he is already considered a ONE OF THE TOP RBs OF ALL TIME. So coming back wouldn't prove much there because he's already proved it.

Yeah, but I doubt *if* he comes back, which is not likely, that he would return to the Lions.

Yes he should. He is only a few hundred yards away from the all time rushing record. And he can still school any defensive player in the league.

I guess going for the record would be cool but if he does horrible, then it may tarnish his image as one of the greatest running backs of all time.
