Looks like solid rookie Kenyon Martin broke his right left for the second time in a year! Story via Sportsline (http://cbs.sportsline.com/u/ce/multi/0,1329,3688976_54,00.html).

Thought this was interesting:

"Everything happens for a reason, but I don't know what the reason is," All-Star guard Stephon Marbury said. "I know we're not cursed like people say."

Marbury then paused.

"Maybe we are," he said. "It's tough. It's tough with all those people going down."
Perhaps the Nets are the Red Sox of the NBA?

He was a exciting player to watch, too bad. Thats just pure bad misfortune, and too bad for a young player whos eager to develop and find his niche in the league.

Thats terrible. I hope he can come back and have a good healthy career.

Unfortunately, I have to admit Martin may end up another star who is injury-prone. Penny Hardaway, anyone? And let's not forget these injuries take a toll on your body, rookie or not.

How ironic is this? I just read the Nets' Stephon Marbury is injured and also out for the season. How unlucky can a team get? Here's the story (http://cbs.sportsline.com/u/ce/multi/0,1329,3713287_54,00.html). Interesting after reading his comment about and then HE gets injured.
