Why did CBS do this? The commenting is extremely biased towards Arizona now. I just don't understand why they allowed this.

I agree with you. I noticed that a lot through the game.

Ugh, I never liked Bill Walton in the first place. He was a cancer on NBC's team, now he's on CBS. :redhot:

Walton's a Pac-10 guy. Even if his son wasn't playing for the Wildcats, Walton would still be biased towards Arizona.

I didn't notice Walton commenting much on his son's play (which wasn't particularly impressive anyway). I don't really pay much attention to the announcers anyway, since half of the stuff they say is downright stupid.

A few years ago Bob Greise was in the booth at the Rose Bowl for ABC when his son Brian was QB for Michigan. It worked out OK, so I guess CBS didn't have any problem with Walton calling an AZ game. Plus, they probably set the assignments pretty early on, maybe even before the pairings were announced, so they may not have even known that could come up.
