Who do you think will win the AL East? I'm going with the Yankees.

I'm going with the Yankees also.

Once again, the Toronto Blue Jays have an excellent team (okay... maybe "excellent" is too much... let's go with "competitve" instead) in eight of the nine starting positions.... as has been the case for years now, it comes down to the young (and injury-proned) pitching core. If they are healthy and FINALLY play to their potential, the Jays still won't win the division, but they will be the Wild Card seed for sure....

Only would choice for me: Yankees

They are just so good. Look at their pitching staff. With just that they could be a contender and also remember Bernie Williams and Derek Jeter.

I think Boston will improve from last year...but the Yankees have so much dinero (spanish for money) that they can afford anyone they want.

I agree. With the money New York has, they should be a shoe-in for division champs.

I would even go as far as show in for AL champs. If they play how they should, they can't be stopped really.

I pick the Yankees, there really isn't any other choice. Over the last few years, the East divisions in both leagues have weakened a bit. Boston's really the only other competitor in my opinion, but with all the injuries, there really might not be any competition.

Yankees will win the division hands down!!

With the injury to Nomar, the BoSox won't even be close in the pennent race.

CONTENDERS... nothing more, though... Yankess will still win.

Don't underestimate the Blue Jays this year. All they are missing are some SPs. They have great relief and a closer in Koch. They also have power in Delgado, Fullmer, Cruz Jr., Bautista, ect. I like them pulling the upset over the Yanks or at least in 2nd over Boston and serious wildcard contenders.

I consider the Blue Jays as my second choice for the Wild Card after Boston.

Its gonna be Yanks turning out to be the champs and i think that toronto might give the yanks a bit conpietition if they aqquire some new and better pitchers.....

Yes. So far though, the Yankees look pretty good starting off without Jeter.

Yeah, I really don't think that the absence of Jeter will make too much of an impact on the ability of the Yanks to win games.
