Who will win the AL West?

I'll take the A's, although the Mariners are getting better.

If Seattle can fill the hole in the infield left by some guy who acts as smart as a (metal) rod, they will win the division... I think they will.... rods aren't very smart and thus, aren't very hard to replace ;)

I'll go with the A's. Just look at the cover of ESPN magazine.

I liked Seattle last year, but now losing A-Rod, that offense is going to struggle. If they pick up Nevin, I like their chances a lot more. The Angles don't have a chance, especially without Mo Vaughn, but I do actually like their starters. Texas needs a strong veteran starter and Urbina to win this division. So I pick Oakland to win this division and the AL pennant this year since there really is no powerhouse in either league.

I think winning the pennant is a bit extreme. We all know the Yankees are the best bet for that. They have 4 great starting pitchers, Petitte, Hernandez, Clemens, and Mussina. They also have some great hitters who are very patient at the plate.

I go with the A's on this one. With Giambi, Chavez and the core of pitchers they have, I see them winning this divison...

The reason I like the A's just as much as the Yankees or more to win the pennant is that with Tim Hudson, Barry Zito, and Mark Mulder (he'll be a good one) and an also patient offense, they have a great chance too.

Plus there's always that anger towards the Yankees that I'll always have. :)

I agree, the A's have lots of young, strong players. They should be at the top of their division for a while.

The As have talent for sure but I like the Rangers here and thats with out without A-Rod. I think Alex just makes them that much better but nonetheless I gotta pick the Rangers.

I feel the A's are alot better overall than the Rangers. We also need to see if ARod works out, remember how well Gonzalez did on Detroit....

I think A's will totally come on top but the marianers could give them some compietition...........also a really big blow to the A's was that they lost grieve and stairs who helps them loads
