I wish I could pick Cincy, but I'm going to go with the Cards.

I'm not well-educated on this division, so I will go with the Cardinals also.

What happened to the Astros last season!?... I thought they were suspose to be good!... what is their 2001 outlook? Can someone fill me in on this?

Their pitchers ERA's well INFLATED, and they lost Hampton. Had a lot to do with their new stadium I think.

I think this division will be an interesting one. Houston should be much improved. Cincy should be better, also. The Cubs will be competetive for a while, as will the Brewers. I think the Cardinals will take it and possibly go all the way through the series. I think Mac deserves a ring there and the supporting cast is pretty good, too.

The Cards I say. They just need to have Ankiel settle down a little and McGwire can maybe have a productive season. The rest of the team should do pretty well.

St. Louis in my opinion has one of the better chances to take the NL Pennant this year. Walt Jocketty was a genius during the 2000 Winter, but in 2001, I have to say he made a boneheaded deal when he sent Tatis and Rheames over for Hermansen and Kline. Tatis will have another great year, and Rheames will be marginal. Kline will help out a bit in the bullpen, but Hermansen, in my opinion is overrated. He is not the dominating pitcher people think he is or can be. I think the Cardinals might be a bit disappointed. I think they would have better just sitting on Tatis, putting Morris in the rotation, and shopping for that reliever.

Houston is improved this year, but won't go higher than second. Cincinatti might have a chance, although the inexperienced pitching could and maybe will be their downfall. One team to look at for the future is Milwaukee, with former Braves Assistant G.M. Dean Taylor rebuilding this team, they look good on the horizon, both offense and pitching.

Look at the poll. I really don't think the other teams are much competition for the Cards. I think the Reds and the Astros might be fight it out for 2nd which still won't mean much.

I have gotta vote for Houston. I just like the Bee's too much. I think if they can pull their pitching together they have a shot.

This division is pretty close between St. Louis, Cincinatti, and Houston. It could go alot of different ways. But Houston's performance last year was just sad.
