Who will end up in KC as the QB? Ever since Grbac left, they've been looking. The recent rumor is Mark Brunell, but he'll stay in Jacksonville. I wish they would have gotten Trent Green, that guy is a good quaterback.

I thought for sure that Trent Green was heading to KC. Boy, was I wrong so far. To be quite honest, I have no clue who will end up in KC. I don't think Aikman will go there, however, who knows anymore!! Maybe Trent Dilfer? lol :)

This could be a serious problem for the Cheifs.

Yeah, I think the Chiefs are in for a long season. Trent Dilfer is not the answer. They needed Trent Green. The addition of a better running game would help too.

I think, come draft day, that Vermeil and the Chiefs will swallow hard, and send a 1st and a 3rd to the Rams for Green. If they want any hope of success this season, they will need a QB, and there are really none left available at this point. The Rams hold the cards, and will not lower their demands. They do not need to trade Green, but will for the chance to rebuild their leaky defense.

Boy, but aside from that one season with Washington, what has Trent Green done? OK, he was hurt in preseason, which led to the discovery of Kurt Warner, but I think even I could have put some decent numbers up with that offense. I'm checking out his stats on NFL.com, then I'll be back.

Well, I guess I can't say anything. Green's QB rating was a nice 101.8 last season in the 8 games he played (including 5 starts) with a 4 to 1 TD to INT ratio. BUT, how many of those games were wins?

Yeah, with that offense, it wouldn't be impossible to be a great quaterback. But the guy did have some good games, I think he's the best available option and worth the 1st and 3rd the Chiefs will give up.
But will the Rams do it now after paying that roster bonus to Green?

I think that the Rams would do it, because they would get another first rounder to use to work on their defense, or trade for a veteran who could help. In my opinion, they would be better off drafting a d-lineman than using the money to sign Cortez Kennedy, at this point in his career. With their own picks in the first three rounds, KC's picks in the first three rounds, and Tennessee's 1st-rounder, the Rams could get healthy in a hurry. The ability to put this type of draft position together will offset the money alreay paid to Green, in my opinion.

Well KC got their man. I really like the deal for both. The Rams get another high pick for a defensive player, and the Chiefs get their QB, a 5th round pick, and essentially Tony Horne. I really like what Vermeil is doing, although Priest Holmes for 4 years? Hmmm...

Well, the Chiefs got Green for less than the 1st and 3rd. Good for them. Green has had success in the NFL, and should mkae a good QB for them. He also comes in to a situation where they definitely have weapons in the passing game, and I like Priest Holmes as a receiver out of the backfield. Holmes should be a decent RB for them, and Tony Horne is a great return man. I gotta believe that Vermiel and company have really helped themselves out this weekend.
