What are they thinking signing Tony Banks? This guy is a loser - and has been everywhere he's gone. St. Louis. Baltimore. The list goes on. Sometimes I wonder what Jerry Jones is thinking. Doesn't he realize his team needs to rebuild and they won't be a contender anytime soon? They need to draft a young QB - and Emmitt at RB won't last forever, either.

i kinda agree with u but his stats aren't that bad so mabye it won't turn out as much of a diaster.....

They just signed him for a year. Even if they were drafting a young QB in this draft, they'd likely want to have someone else starting the first year.

Considering that the QB position is very thin in this year's draft, the Cowboys would be better off not picking a QB in this draft. I'd probably be giving Anthony Wright the reins for this season and hoping the draft were deeper in the QB position for 2002. But Tony Banks is probably a better option than Anthony Wright if the goal is to put the best possible team on the field for the season.

Yeah, he's not all that bad. Maybe a change of scenery will help him. Who knows. But I do agree they need to draft someone... maybe Brees?

Thing is, though, he already had a change of scenery and he was equally as bad. He was in St. Louis... they lost. Then, he went to the Ravens, and they went like a whole month without scoring a TD under him.

Dallas has the potential to put a very good offense on the field.

Galloway, Ismail and Pickens could be a phenomenal triple threat at WR and combined with Emmitt Smith could be a strong offense. They may even make Tony Banks look decent when it's all said and done.
