Hideo Nomo just got a no hitter in his first start on the Red Sox.
That's cool. I remember when Nomo just came into the league and he was supposed to be this awesome pitcher, but he wasn't exceptional. Its good to see him pitching well.
Well, I guess he wasnt all bad. I just discovered this is his second no hitter of his short career.

You want flukes? Anybody remember where his first no-no was?
That's right, dreaded Coors field.
Seriously, Nomo could be dominating still. But with that windup, he gets out of sync easily and gets wild.
lmanchur.

Yes, it is a fluke, in my opinion at least. He is not consistent enough. He got two no nos, what the problem is is everything in between them. :)

If you look at who we've had through the years it is surprising.
Seaver, Ryan, Gooden, Cone, Nomo...
We had all these guys who pitched no hitters after they left.
And also Leiter pitched one before. I don't know who I missed but that was it that came to mind.

I knew something like this would happen as soon as the Brewers let him go. i am just happy it done happen against the Brewers. Nomo was outstanding last year with us.
