Who will win the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals between the New Jersey Devils (1) and Carolina Hurricanes (8)?
The Devils are THE hottest team in hockey right now, and, right now, it doesn't seem like there's an end to it. No chance for the Hurricanes in this one!!!!
(Check Sports Central (http://sports-central.org) on April 10 for my NHL Playoff Preview article, featuring my "offical" picks, and analysis of each Quarter Final series. Also featured on Sports Central during the playoffs will be a printable playoff tree, as well as live, up-to-the minute scores.)

New Jersey in a sweep. They should come out of the East. The only team I see stopping them is possibly Washington barring any huge injuries.

I'll take NJ in 5 games...i think Carolina will take one at the most.
Well, Carolina caught my Devils sleeping while being up 3-0, and they have taken this thing to 4 games. Still, I think the Devils will close them out in no time.

Taking it to 4 games??... no... at the start of today, they took it to five games with a 3-2 OT win a few nights ago. Today, game Six, was the first game I watched in this series, and Arturs Irbe was on his game today! -- stopping all but two shots on something like 37 of them!!!... anyone realize that that was his 82nd game of the year!!!... talk about iron men!!! :)
Anyways, the 'Canes won 3-2 today, with NJD scoring with 19 seconds left in the game, but its going to a sixth game -- that'd be something if the Canes could pull off the sweep after losing 3-0 in the series..... that's only been done.. um... I think under 10 times in history.... maybe under 5 or 7..
..looks like not only will I have watched today's game, but also Sunday's Game!!! :) ..could get interesting!
Oops... guess that shows how much I keep up with hockey. :)

Yeah.... I think you got it confused with basketball where the opening round series, unlike basketball, go to SEVEN games, not five... in the NHL in the first round, it's a best-of-seven, so EVERY series goes to four games!!! :)
