Default What city is "hockeytown"

I think TOronto is hockeytown. In toronto, hockey is everything, its all anybody ever talks about. It has the hockey hall of fame, it has produced the most NHLers, it has won the second most stanley cups, Leafs games have been sold out for almost 40 straight years and nothing on the leafs can be kept a secret away from the fans.
Also, toronto is the most loved NHL team. Just because something happens to the leafs and the fans say "that was a stupid move" or somethign like that, it doesn't mean that the fans dont love them, it just means that they care about them.

I would like to hear where other hockey fans think "hockeytown", and u better not say a team that was not an original six.........especially Colorado......SIN!

Winnipeg, obviously!
...what other city's fans has put up nearly $1,000,000 of their OWN money to try and help the team stay in their home city!?... what other city has had round-the-clock rallies with thousands of people attending it!?..... If you're Canadian, you know of the children's singer "Fred Penner" and the famous "Cat Came Back" song... well, when else has he altered the lyrics to the "Jets Came Back!?"..... NO other city or team in SPORTS has spring traditions like the Winnipeg Jets had come playoff time -- a sold-out Winnipeg Arena with ALL fans COMPLETELY dressed in white... the noise (a.k.a.: WHITE Noise!)in the Winnipeg Arena during playoff time for the Winnipeg Jets was just unbelievable... ALL the announcers said it was louder than Chicago.

Anyway, none of that is there anymore. The Manitoba Moose just... well.... fans aren't like that for the Moose. So for CURRENT NHL teams..... most definitely Toronto... either Detroit or Edmonton would be #2, and the one of those not #2 would be #3.

Well, Lee, Calgary and Edmonton have also done this and to greater success since both teams are still there.

Uhhhhhh.... nnnnoooooooo...... NEITHER of those teams have had a threat of moving as great as Winnipeg had, so NEITHER of those cities' fans tried to raise money to try to keep their teams... and NEITHER of those cities have "White Noise."

i said toronto is hockeytown, u said winnipeg is hockeytown because it raises a lot of money to keep the team in the city

there's a few things wrong with that
1. Winnipeg raised 1 000 000$, but that wasn't enough
2. You can't say a team is hockeytown because they raise a lot of money because a team such as the leafs doesn't have to raise money

Sorry.... I guess I didn't make it clear enough that I was half-joking.... I tried to imply that, but I guess I didn't do a good enough job! ...anyways, Winnipeg is not/was not "hockeytown".... I was joking/half-joking about that....
