The pre-scripted fake quotes that he spews is probably the main reason. I swear, he must make a list of stupid little catch phrases that he thinks are cute....and he decides to use them all in a game. "that guy runs like a gazelle" And the sad part is he jumps at the wrong time to use his little phrases. One example was the '03 Fiesta Bowl, when Miami threw a short pass he said that they were "going for the jugalur"...the score was close. I could see saying that if Ohio State was behind a couple scores and a TD would put it out of reach....but in that situation after a short pass???? What a f'n idiot! He over-exatterates hits alot with those stupid phrases.....pay attention next time, after an arm tackle he'll say something like "ewww, that guy hits like a mack truck".

Mistake here and there? That's the understatement of the year. I would bet money that in the next game you listen to him that he makes AT LEAST one screw up per quarter. PM me for my mailing address, I take money orders or checks.

If all that isn't bad enough, his voice/accent drive me nuts. And really, I'm not that picky when it comes to annoucers. Give me ANYONE but Jackson & Fouts for a college game and I'm happy. Well, I take that back......I don't care for the female that announces for ESPN2 either. But I'd take her over Jackson anyday.
