David West came here to workout for the Grizzlies not too long ago, and they were impressed with him. West will probably be a late first round pick. Memphis has the a late first round pick #28, so they might pick him up if he is still available. Another player that could be a sleeper would be Josh Howard out of Wake Forest, and he will probably go late first round as well.

Troy Bell from BC might be another sleeper at the guard position.

I really want my Grizzlies to pick up Dwayne Wade, but it looks as though they would have to trade up to get him, cause I don't see him slipping to #13 in the lottery.

i think Dwayne Wade is a big sleeper. he has a lot of potential and played very well against a lot of big schools as Marquette marched through the tourney. West is also a sleeper. if he slips into the mid-2nd round which is very unlikely i wouldn't mind seeing him in Knicks orange and blue.

Mid second round? If he drops that far than David West should go undrafted!

Keith Bogans ... remember Tayshaun Prince and how he took over a game or two these playoffs? Yeah, here's another Kentucky alumni who is used to big-game pressure and is very experienced. Bogans can be an even better player.

He is physical, explosive, shoots well, and plays tenacious defense. He has even been impressive in his draft workouts, but he is still not making people's first-round mock drafts. He returned to school and now has the complete package.

A team would be SMART to pick him over some unknown European kid who won't be ready to play. I don't understand teams who take these raw talents who often never develop.

Kirk Hinrich, Reece Gaines, Zoran Planinic ...

Just to name a few. I don't think Wade is considered a sleeper anymore, since he'll likely be taken 5th overall by Miami, instead of Pavel Podkolzine who decided to WITHDRAW himself out of the draft, possibly the dumbest move of the year by anybody. Here's a guy with a sure top 5 pick, and he decides to withdraw. Good luck Pavel, your window of opportunity has just passed you by.

Chris Bosh, this mn can ball. He should have came out after High school. no words can express how good he is. Look for him to go 5th. Troy Bell and David West are both first rounders. I see West going to Seattle after Seattle trades down, they had Reggie Evans start for gosh sakes. Troy Bell is expected to go to the Wolves if he's still around.

When it comes to the NBA draft, nobody said it better than UCLA forward and potential pick Jason Kapono in The Indianapolis Star. "I should have left college after my freshman year, played in Croatia, and changed my name to Vladimir Kaponovich," Kapono said. "That would have been perfect."

Also, this from the Amico Report, a free NBA newsletter I get, which makes a GREAT point that kind of reflects my feelings on players like Bogans, Troy Bell, and Kapono:
Quote:
Allow me to break from this though long enough to beg you to hold those angry e-mails -- I don't think LeBron James is the next Fennis Dembo! Or anything even close. I'm just trying to point out that the NBA draft sure ain't what it used to be. I mean, take a look at Boston College guard Troy Bell. He played four years in the Big East, and has been called the most athletic player entering the draft by more than one scout. He can shoot, defend, and has a great attitude. That much we know. Yet Bell probably won't be drafted until the second round. Why? As one GM told me, "Because everyone's seen him play too much. Nobody finds him to be all that intriguing." Ah, yes. There's that word again.

Reece Gaines.....

He is a guard who is mad to play in the NBA. Big body, physical, good shooter, good ball handler and fearless driving to the basket.

Luke Walton. Probably a late first/early second. Big guy with soft hands that proved he is durable and can play against college players.
