Sports Central / Original Sports Fan Commentary Since 1998

I'd just like to say that I'm very proud and honored to be a part of Sports Central. I've been writing for several years and was unfortunately laid off at Streets and Smith's Sports Group in 2010 due to downsizing. I currently reside in Concord, N.C., with my wife and adorable 7-year-old daughter.

While I've written about NASCAR in the past, I'm passionate about all sports. I'm a firm believer in underdog teams like the Detroit Lions. I follow the Red Sox but don't hate the Bronx Bombers. As an unemployed fortysomething unemployed male, I'm just glad to be here and look forward to working with all of you!
