Default Question about OT policy?

What is the OT policy on this board? Several of us are considering migrating from another board.

While 80-85% of my contributions will be NBA related, on occasion, we like to discuss off topic matters, such as MLB, TV Shows, college football, etc. And we like the idea of just posting it on the same board where we make all of our other posts, as opposed to in a dedicated off topic board.

So how are OT threads handled here? Will they be permitted, if they contain an "OT" in the subject? Will they be deleted?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. First, we would welcome your migration. What board are you coming from and why are you migrating?

But the answer to your question is threads go in the forum they belong in. OT threads go in the Lounge. I'm not sure why you'd want everything in one forum, it doesn't make sense to have NBA threads and TV show threads in the same forum. And it doesn't sit well with me if you want all your threads in one forum because you have no interest in participating in the rest of the site.

As for troll posts, we don't allow them. The site is cleanly moderated and high quality. Most webmasters would say sure, go ahead, anything to get more posts. But the forums have been around for 11 years and have rules (http://www.sports-central.org/other/...guidelines.php) I hope you can respect that.

We don't delete posts, we move them into the forum they belong in. Let me know what you think.

That's right. It's a museum around here and stepping outside the lines that have been drawn and followed for the last decade would disturb the ghosts of former posters.

Stay in your lane!
