Default My Favorite College Football Teams

I have several teams I like or support. Of course Alabama is my favorite. My second favorite is LSU.

I also like Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida State, Purdue Boilermakers, Michigan State Spartans, Iowa Hawkeyes, Oregon Ducks and Arizona. Also like Colorado and Virginia Tech.

TEAMS THAT RULE YOU AND WOULD BEAT YOU AT FOOTBALL ANY TIME, ANY PLACE!

PITT(psu sucks), MARSHALL OWNS YOU,

and some others like...
NOT OSU. Michigan RULES.
and I guess that is about it. I hate more teams than I like. I am just a loving guy.

Minneapolis is sending Marshall another Fitzgerald.

Larry's younger bro, Marcus, a RB, is heading to the Herd.

BTW....FSU and UofMN for me. I also like USC and Georgia. Oklahoma catches my fancy too sometimes.

As for aligning with more than one college football team, I can appreciate the thought.

I'm a WVU fan through-and-through, but if I was going to sit around and ONLY watch games with WVU in them, I'd watch very little on autumn Saturdays.

So, in watching games for the game, I've developed some softness in my heart for a couple places in the country that I grew up swearing I'd rather die than root for, such as Penn State. As big a rival as Pitt is, Penn State was that monkey on the back of the WVU program. The Mountaineers longest stretch of losing to Pitt was only like 12 or 13 years. Penn State, no matter how bad-- and they rarely were-- had a 25-year streak over WVU.

A victory over Penn State hadn't happened since before my dad paid much attention to WVU football. So, that I've occasionally rooted for Penn State is something I don't walk around announcing when I go home.

I kind of like the Stoops' Sooners revival, even if they did prove to be terrible frauds this past season. I liked them, just not as much the press seemed to.

I have an unaccountable affinity for LSU. I think it's Death Valley, and little else. They have ugly colors, and haven't been all that outstanding very often since I've become a fan of the game for the game.

I like Washington State, maybe even more now that Price is gone.

I've always been sort of a Colorado guy, but with whispers of untamed debauchery during recruiting seasons... eh, we'll just wait and see there.

I like Ohio State when they're the underdog. I like Michigan when they're the underdog.

Programs I hate are much easier to list:
Florida
Florida State
Miami
Texas
Virginia Tech (respected them prior to ACC backstabbing)
Boston College (no, I hated them prior to ACC backstabbing)
Nebraska

Dave, we're you even rooting for OSU against Michigan this past year, when they were 'dogs? If so, color me shocked.

Oh, no. I wasn't. Color you unshocked.

OSU earned my year-long ire with the Reynolds on-field assault fiasco, and besides, I couldn't root for them with Ricky touting them, often without proving it on the field, as the best team in the land when they were playing like anything but...

I actually sort of turned on OSU after they slept through the game against SJSU. I didn't need them to win by 50, but a defending champ should at least get on the field and act like they want to be there.

I can be rather bandwagon-y in my college football following aside from WVU. Nothing else in my blood.

I'm sure you mean SDSU, San Jose State was a couple of years ago. Today, we exist to correct each other, you and I.

First and foremost, I'm a UCLA fan...and right now a cloud hovers over the program, but they'll fight through it. I generally support Pac-10 teams, though I've got no love for Wazzu in any shape or form.

Outside of them, no real favorites. I suppose I would choose Michigan over Ohio State if I had to choose, and similarly I'd choose Florida State over Florida. Go Criminoles!

I just love sports. I also like Syracuse, Miami of Ohio. I can like two teams in the same conference and still root for both when they play each other. I'm guaranteed of being happy no matter who wins lol

Thanks

You hear about the Kentucky booster who got banned for 27 years for "inappropriate" contact with some football recruits or something to that nature? I can't imagine why anyone would want to contact UK football recruits?

For a usually mediocre team UK has some very impressive attendance figures. Don't they usually sell out Commonwealth, Marc?
