Default Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama

A lot of people don't know this, but Mardi Gras began in Mobile before it ever started in New Orleans.

Tomorrow Sunday is "Joe Cain Day"-nothing but partying and parades and drunkeness. Women exposing their breasts for plastic beads.

All the floats throw trinkets and the people go wild over this cheap stuff. The most popular item is moonpies and stuffed animals.

I hate Mardi Gras myself. The crowd Friday night was estimated at 64,000. In New Orleans it use to reach almost a million people on the streets.

Mardi Gras has ended as of Tuesday and our town has been left in a big trash heap. The town is devastated by trash.

There were around 200,000 people in downtown Mobile Tuesday-Parades lasted all day thru the night.

One big party in Bienville Park-singing, people cooking and eating, throwing frisbees, taking pictures, getting loaded with drink and drugs. Bands playing and preachers preaching the good word.

What a day!
