Default What if it gets this far...

Texas goes undefeated, wins the Big 12, knocks off previously undefeated Alabama in the BCS Championship game.

Penn State goes undefeated, wins the Big 10, knocks off previously 1-loss USC in the Rose Bowl.

Texas lays claim to the National Championship.

Penn State, undefeated, believes they've been robbed.

The NCAA won't allow the two teams to meet, even on an open field in an unsanctioned game.

How do we settle this? What can be done?

I have a solution.

Alex vs. Coach J in a steel cage death match. First man to not die, gets to award the national championship to his favorite football team.

As much as i'd love to see that happen, I dont see Texas going undefeated. If they get past Mizzou tomorrow, i'd like their chances a LOT more, but i think Mizzou has something to prove.

Even if they beat Mizzou, you know Mack Brown, hes going to find a way to screw up at least one game.

If Texas runs the table and wins out are still going to be trying to get him out of town? It kills me how Texas fans moan and complain about the guy who has brought back the glory years and made them nationally relevant again.

Well, coachJ, Texas crushed Mizzou, so they look like legit title contenders now. But Penn State was also impressive. But yeah, why hate on your coach, he's got you at No. 1. 99.9% of fans envy your program!

I hate on Mack cuz every year he loses a game hes not supposed to, unless one of his superstars (Vince Young, Jamaal Charles in the past, and now Colt McCoy, who is stepping up big time) steps in and saves him.

With the talent brought in, theres no way Texas should have 6 losses the past 2 seasons.

Not for nothing Coach, but isn't that what superstars are supposed to do? Don't you want your best players stepping up big time to make big plays? You'll credit the players for "stepping up" during a big win, but point at Brown when they lose a game?

There are a lot of good coaches and even some great coaches who never won a National Championship. Brown's got one (and at least one other BCS bowl win). You don't acheive the kind of results he's produced unless you're a pretty good coach.

Anyway, does this mean you're not up for a steel cage death match with Alex to determine the National Championship?

Considering the high school football talent in the state of Texas, and the fact that UT at Austin is by far the biggest draw for that talent in the state (unlike in Florida, where Miami, UF, and FSU all had to compete with each other in the '90s), Texas should be a much more dominant program than they are.

And anyway, the mother****er benched Major Applewhite his senior season and missed out on another MNC for doing so! Never been a Mack fan since, even though Vince Young and a tremendously incompetent USC defense handed him a big bowl win. But yeah, Ellis, the guy can recruit big-time talent...but so could coach j and I in Texas if we were the head of that program.

And I agree with coach's assessment, no one is going undefeated this year, including Texas. My guess is it will be the Big 12 champ vs. the SEC champ in Super Bowl Jr.

We can make the same argument about Pete Carroll though and you don't here a lot of folks moaning and complaining about him losing games that he shouldn't.

Mack Brown doesnt have the National Championship because of his coaching. Anybody and everybody that watched any Texas game that year knows that championship was thanks to Vince Young. Sure, ill credit Mack for recruiting him because hey, thats what Mack does, he recruits.

And yes Im going to point the finger at Brown when they lose a game, it's almost always the head coaches fault, whether or not he accepts responsibility for it is on him.

As for the cage match, why not just make it Hell in a Cell, a casket match, first blood or something of that nature Nobody needs to die over this.
