Default T.O. Suspended Indefinitely

Ha! Finally, T.O. has been suspended for running his mouth. Took long enough, I'm tired of hearing from this guy.

Perfect time for a "message" since he's hurt anyway and was questionable for this week's game. I'd be surprised if he remains suspended past this weekend unless that ankle doesn't improve

About time. I don't care how talented you are, no one is bigger than the team.

Good. He was reaching at air with the Favre comment. Just pure silliness. I don't think McNabb is having his best season, but he's 80 times better than Favre at this point.

His comment about them not recognizing his 100th TD catch was also silly. They just don't do that, maybe he should have checked that out before running his mouth.

He's really hurting the team. Unload him now.

i'd imagine TO has worn an Eagles jersey for the last time. at least they have a lot of time to start talking trade in the off season and moving him will free up money to resign Westbrook.

i think most people are not seeing TO's comments are solely for the purpose of getting traded. he's given up on the Eagles and now expects his next team to open up their wallet.

i wonder if TO has gotten the chance to talk to Keyshawn...?

I am so sick of TO & his mouth... all he does is spew diarrhea out! I feel bad for McNabb, he is such a great competitor and its too bad TO isn't a team player. I agree, funny how he gets suspended now, with the ankle injury - lets see if he's out next week. This will be TO's last season in Phili I think. He wore out that welcome after the SB loss.
ESPN had a poll yesterday: Would you want TO on your team? I voted no, along with 70%
Interesting opinions about TO - they "slam" him pretty good...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2214874
A couple quotes from that article:
Theismann:
Never in my 31 years around the professional game of football have I seen such a waste and such a degree of selfishness.
Salisbury:
I just wish he was on one of the old Raiders or Steelers teams where a guy like Howie Long or Mean Joe Greene would slam him against a locker and tell him to just shut up and play football.

Good, good, good. I can't stand anyone who thinks they are bigger then the game. Screw T.O. I hope he ends up in the CFL. Good riddance.

Owens on that CFL field would be amazing to watch...

Can you honestly name an NFL team that would take a chance with him next year? Cowboys? Think Parcels could discipline him?

wow. i never read an article of ESPN.com that just let the cannons fire on someone like that. Hoge makes an excellent point at the end of his comments "Unfortunately for them, if the Randy Moss trade is any barometer, the market for a talented but troublesome receiver may be limited."

i doubt the Cowboys would want him. Parcels only dealt w/ Keyshawn because of their past in New York. i think the bigger question is what team has a QB w/ the attitude to deal w/ TO? Garcia and McNabb both got ripped by him. you can only assume the next QB he is teammates with will get it too.

No QB in the league has that type of attitude. Mabye P. Manning in the sense that TO could never criticize him. How often does Manning have a bad day? That would be an interesting combo - Manning wouldn't take any sh** from him. Of course it would never happen...

Now, does anyone here still think I was crazy for predicting before the season started that the Eagles would finish 7-9 this year? And I disagree with Billy D: I think you have seen the last of T.O. in an Eagle uniform - ever.

Oh well, at least Rashad Evans won the Ultimate Fighter contract tonight.

you also made some stinkers like Arizona Cardinals (9-7) Green Bay Packers (10-6) Detroit Lions (9-7) and Baltimore Ravens (13-3)

McNabb's injury is the what is costing them games. he can't hit anyone w/ midrange passes anymore. Eagles still have bad D's left on their schedule Packers, Seahawks, Rams, and Cards. they will finish at least 9-7 and make the playoffs.

ha good point bringing up Green Bay BDS. Owen's might get his wish and play for Favre anyway.

ESPN is reporting that the Eagles have 3 options:
1) T.O is only suspended for four games max (collective bargaining agreement), they can either pay him or not pay him for these games. After the four games, TO can be "welcomed" back.

2) The Eagles can do what the Bucs did to Keyshawn and just pay TO to sit at home for the rest of the season.

3) The Eagles (as early as monday) can RELEASE Owens right into the free agent market.

If I were Philly, I would hold onto Owens for trade bait because he is still too good of a player just to release and get nothing for. Some team out there is going to want him, regardless of his crappy attitude. The Raiders took Moss off the Vikings didn't they? I realize Owens is worse than Moss but they were pretty close in attitude problems 2 or 3 seasons ago.
