Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame. the HOF is what you did on the field as a player or manager (Pete certainly wouldn't get in based on that) or whatever. Rose has overt 4000 hits and is the hit king and one of the most hardworking players of all time. so what if he bet on baseball? he shouldn't be allowed to manage or coach in the MLB but he deserves to be in the hall because he is a HOFer whether he is inshrined or not, no one can ever take away what he did on the field so why not give him his due for what he did before he bet on baseball. BTW Shoeless Joe should be in too.

I don't understand: being banned from Major League Baseball, IMO, should have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with being in the "National Baseball Hall of Fame." ...why is it that they are completely intertwined??????
The NHL and the Hockey Hall of FAme are two COMPLETELY SEPARATE entities.... aside from being the place where the trophies are held in the offseason, hockey HOF and the NHL are two units that function completely independently of each other. Therefore, since I see no reason for the two to be linked in baseball, Pete Rose should be inducted into Cooperstown. He obviously has the credentials. And that warrants his plaque in that building. |
