Where's Florida State? #5 in the country, but not worthy of your top 10?

No Michigan either?

No, not yet. I don't care where the AP says they are, I make my own opinion. They've got a much tougher schedule left, I think they'll struggle in the second half. If you disagree with me, leave your own top 10. I'm not convinced michigan is a great team. Sure they killed Notre Dame, but ND is 1-3. Who else have they beaten. Houston? Indiana? Central Michigan?

1. Oklahoma
2. Miami
3. Ohio State
4. Florida State
5. Arkansas
6. LSU
7. Virginia Tech
8. Tennessee
9. Michigan
10. USC

I leave out Nebraska, because I really don't think they are a top 10 team like some of the polls have them ranked. I drop Va Tech down a few spots, according to other polls in favor of FSU, Arkansas and LSU.

1) Oklahoma
2) LSU
3) Ohio State
4) Florida State
5) Miami
6) Arkansas
7) Tennessee
8) Virginia Tech
9) Pittsburgh
10) Nebraska

I'm throwin LSU so high because Oklahoma barely beat Alabama who lost to Northern Illinois. Ohio State barely beat San Diego State. Miami barely beat Florida. Florida State struggled against Georgia Tech. Yet, LSU has utterly kicked some tail including Georgia, a team I thought had the opportunity to go undefeated. Maybe I'm placing LSU too high, but the LSU-Arkansas game could be the game of the year.

Marc, it is a close call for me to put USC in the top 10, the other team I was considering putting at #10 was Georgia, and I have UGA at #11. Had USC lost at home, then they would not be in my top 10. UGA lost a tough battle on the road as well vs. a current top 10 team, so it is a close call between the two. Plus most of the other teams from #11-20 have one loss as well.

I will not rank Nebraska in my top 10, and I really don't want to rank them in my top 15, but I guess I almost have to because they are undefeated. Nebraska will get totally exposed by a few Big 12 teams in conference play to prove they are not top 10 calibur.

What Big 12 teams will expose Nebraska, Joey? They already beat the one team that a lot had picked to win the conference. And they don't play the team likely to win the conference, at least, not till the title game.

Texas plays too soft. I like Nebraska in that game. Mizzou showed their true stripes this weekend (and last). The Jayhawks are a nice story this week, but... Colorado MAYBE, but this will be the payback game for the LumberLaying at Lincoln from 2001.
K State is a possible loss for the Cornhuskers, but it should be an interesting matchup of two of the last option-running teams in the midwest.

After looking at their schedule, I notice Nebraska is not playing Oklahoma, who I certainly think could expose them for the one dimensional offense that they are. Nebraska also has the luxury of playing K State at home.

I think Texas will beat Nebraska, but after looking at their schedule once again it is not as hard as I had orginally thought. All this being said, I like Nebraska's defense but I just don't think Nebraska can beat or stay with the likes of Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State, and even teams with 1 loss like USC, Michigan, and Georgia.

Then again, if this Nebraska team continues to win as the season goes along they will start to gain a great deal of confidence that will make them that much tougher to beat. I stick to them being around a top #15-20 team as of right now, and lets see if they prove me wrong.
