Imagine that, UF's no where to be found in y'alls top 10.

Boston College and Arizona State? Please enlighten me.

As for UF, they only have eight starters back, just two on defense, and play in a brutal conference. Tebow showed he can run and jump and throw at the same time but he's still largely unproven. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Top 10 at the end of the season but its hard to put them there to start.

Two new coaches and I got both squads in the Top Ten...I know...interesting. :D

Ryan Torain is one of the best backs in the Pac Ten...if not the country. I'm high on Erickson in the college ranks. The man gets the job done.

San Jose State...W
Colorado...W
San Diego State...W
Oregon State...W
AT Stanford...W
AT Wash. State...W
Washington...W
Cal...?
AT Oregon...?
AT UCLA...?
USC...?
Arizona...W

They'll split the 2 question marks. I think they got a shot beating USC at home.

B.C.

No O'Brien but this team is LOADED and returns a ton of talent. Plus Jagodzinski is from Wisconsin. :D

EDIT:

mush...if you refer to me as a "ya'll" one more time I'm gonna put all the SEC teams in the Top 25 of the I-AA poll.

Alex 06-28-2007 02:23 PM

I'd be surprised to see them go 1-3 against the question marks. I think Erickson will get Arizona State back to the Rose Bowl if he sticks around long enough but I don't see him doing it with a team entirely assembled by Dirk Koetter. If they can get to the Sun Bowl, they should consider it a successful season.

BC has a lot of experience but they have a brutal schedule during the second half of the season. I think their season will depend a lot on how they do against ND. They shouldn't be any worse than 5-1 going into that one and a W could go a long to giving them the confidence to negotiate that second half schedule. A loss could send them in a spiral. Plus I think Jagodzinski is planning on overhauling the offense and installing new schemes. That's going to take some time to learn. If O'Brien had stayed I think BC could've been a sleeper MNC contender. They really should've won the ACC last year.

buckeyefan78 06-28-2007 05:56 PM

The game at Notre Dame shouldn't be that big of a deal. I really see ND down this year...way down.

I see the ACC steady to down as well...if that's possible. I'm not sold on the changes Miami and FSU have made. Clemson is a mess. Is Maryland back? Wake can't do it again. G Tech and V Tech seem to be the only two viable candidates outside of B.C.

Alex 06-28-2007 09:10 PM

I think it's Virginia Tech's to lose. They're the only team that doesn't have any major question marks surrounding them and they'll be rallying around the tragedy. If they don't win at least 10 games in the regular season, Beamer's not the coach he's built up to be. Florida State seems like the only school that could quickly put it together and challenge them but I have my doubts about them.

The ACC is going to be bad again- real bad. Only this team there will be a real team, Virginia Tech, to manhandle the league and prevent a nobody like Wake from doing what they did last season.

A lot of the local ACC beat writers are very high on BC this year. O'Brien left the new coach quite a bit to work with and they have a senior QB whom a lot of folks are very high on. I have seen some speculate that he may be the second QB taken after Brohm in the next draft.

I don't know that they are a top 10 team but they should end up somewhere in the top 25.
