Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

With this being the 4th installment in the life of Harry at Hogwarts, I wonder how many are planning to go to see it Thursday midnight?

ME! Lol, I've been waiting for this movie to come out since the book came out. This one better be good, since it was my favorite one. But yeah, if everything goes as planned, I'll be there at midnight waiting to get in! Ra ha ha! (I'm a dork, I know it.)

Can't wait to see the movie.

I enjoyed it...kinda rushed at some points but overall it was good.

My assessment of the film is thus:
It skipped a great deal of the story in the book, and took liberties with some of the rest. Bartie Jr. did not appear at the house with Wormtail and Voldemort, he was not seen at the quiddich world cup, either.
Ludo Bagman was conspicuous by his absence, as was the house elf, Winky.
I thought Moody could have been cast a bit better, but he was OK. Crouch, Sr. was great. The tri-wizard champions were cast well, as were Cho, Pavarti and Padma (Pavarti appeared in #3 as well). I was somewhat disappointed in Madam Maxime, but Rita Skeeter was wonderful.
Ron needs a haircut, but the rest of the continuing cast looks fine.
Overall, I thought it was quite good and I'm looking forward to adding it to my library.

I read the Order of the Phoenix. I can't wait to see that as a movie.

This one, to me, was by far the weakest in the series.... although I will say the dragon bits were among the most exciting scenes in the entire series..

But overall, the series has run its course. The 'magic' is gone, if you'll pardon the pun.. the kids are all grown up now. I have a very short attention span at times, but was entranced enough by the story to read the books up to the 5th one.

but that was stretching it, and for the movie series- it's already run its course. The latest Harry Potter movie should be the last. That is, unless they get another director who can 'unlock the magic' once again.
It is possible, but not with the same director.

If you're over, say age 11, and are still enthralled by the exploits of Harry Potter, you might be a loser. Most have graduated to Dungeons and Dragons by that point. Or, perhaps on to Fantasy Football.

I take a pass on all of the above, thank you very much.
