Mighty kind of you, Jack! I started this as a 7th grader and now am 31 with a newborn son.

Congratulations on the son, Marc.
Life has changed a bit for me since this board started. I have retired from a state job, lost my wife to cancer, taken a part-time job, become mayor of my little town, started going out with a lady I've known for 50 years (who my daughter likes, by the way), and worked with many different organizations to help in my local area.

I honestly just think message boards are a thing of the past, thanks to social media.

Marc, you're probably right.
I notice that back in the day people put more effort into message board posts, too.

Because of Twatter (and other social media), people have now been trained to express themselves in 140 characters or less.

Much of the art of message boarding is gone.

People don't have the patience for it, and they don't put much effort into it.

I love ya Marc. Haven't talked to you in a few years and we jump right back into Tom & Jerry mode.

I think message boards are toast too. The other two Ohio State boards I visited closed down.

I joined Facebook this year. Younger family and friends forced me to do so saying that's how they keep everyone up to date on what's going on.

And yes, I hate it. :D

By the way, I've also become a grandfather twice.
