Miami's Jay Fiedler signs 24.5 million dollar deal
I'm not sure if he is worth a five year deal paying $24.5 million dollars. He just doesn't impress me-how about you guys-what do you think-I would have went after Drew Bledsoe or someone else.

He is solid, at best. I don't know if he can win a Super Bowl, though. What does everyone else think? I think the Dolphins need to bulk up on defense, mostly.

I've always like Fiedler he is a great backup. The only problem is in the short game. He is great for long down-field passes but he doesn't scramble much and pays the price because of it. I don't know if he's worth that much but if the Dolphins want a Super Bowl they defiently need to build up on other areas of their team to support him.

So far, Fiedler has done nothing to suggest he'll ever win a Super Bowl. Maybe the Dolphins should have tried to obtain Trent Dilfer, who has won one (the Patriots would never let Drew Bledsoe go to a division rival, so that's a non-starter).

Miami also needs more size up front on defense, and a running back wouldn't be a bad idea either as Lamar Smith is just adequate.

I definately don't think he was worth that kind of money. He's only a good player, they need someone that will help them advance. Something that it will be hard to do with Fielder.

I'd have to agree with Nate that he was not worth that much at all

The Dolphins had a great quarterback in Dan Marino and couldn't make it to the Super Bowl and win-what they need is another QB similar to Marino and a running game. Their lack of an established running attack or threat has killed them year after year.

The Miami Dolphins just bought themselves five more Wild-Card playoff loses. This was a very bad move. Ya, Jay Fiedler beat the Raiders with his " heroic dive for the endzone", but that's about all he did. The guy proved he can take a team to the playoffs, barely, then lose in the first or second round. They should have either signed Trent Dilfer, named Ray Lucas the starter or drafted Patrick Ramsey or Rohan Davey in the second-round.
