Spring Break!

1 Attachment(s)
After a long, long week, I am finally driving home Thursday for Spring Break and wanted to explain if I am absent more than usual over the next week or so. I leave Saturday morning for a flight to Charlotte with my Dad, where we will be shown around the city and are getting a complimentary four-star hotel (free WiFi access!) and courtside/box seats to the Lakers/Bobcats game on Saturday night (thanks for my Dad's potential employer).

So between driving home and unpacking, then flying to Charlotte and doing a bunch of stuff there (going to hit a sports bar to watch Kentucky play in the SEC tourney), I will be online less than usual. Then, after we return from a weekend in Charlotte, we're going to test drive cars, time permitting. Not a car for me, mind you, but I will still get to drive and ride it in once in a while, so it should be fun. See you all soon! :)

Sounds great Marc. Throw a cup at Kobe and there's a few bucks in it for ya. I'll check Sportscenter, don't let me down !

We have Spring Break starting Friday too. Don't ask me why we are on a college schedule, I have no clue. Anyway, I leave for L.A. Sunday morning with my nephew ( leaving the wife at home for a change). Checked the schedule, Lakers on a road trip ( see Marc's Bobcat game) all week, so that's out. Have a layover at JFK ( don't ask me why I fly from Pit to JFK to LAX, no clue, my nephew booked the flight). Never been to NYC, so guess that's fun. Staying in Pasadena, kinda cool. Never slept so close to Mecca ( the Rose Bowl).

Coming back Friday, picking my sister up at the airport ( worked out good, she arrives from Florida two hours after we get back). Looking forward to a nice weekend with her, then off to school again on Monday. So after Saturday, I won't be for over a week either.

Now if only it would warm up! I packed shorts in case. Call it my eternal optimism. ;)

My spring break started three weeks ago... now I'm just gearing up for the final four weeks here of class.

Have a great time Marc.

Hmmmm... what did that brilliant idea cause recently? Pistons/Pacers anyone?

Have a good one Marc! :D tell us how the test drive goes!

My spring break doesn't start until mid-April. I'm going to Florida during the first weekend and the following week and then back home for the Blue-White Game and NFL Draft. While in Orlando I will be attending the Heat-Magic game.

You had Spring Break in February? In Canada? More like mid-winter break.

:wtf:

Spring break starts next week.

I can not wait! It is going to be a good time.

As for yours, Marc, sounds like a good time.

Yeah, it's been pretty good. Went with a realtor and my Dad and looked at a ton of houses, including some pretty extravagent ones with water fountains and lights by the driveway not powered by bulbs, but by flames. We're pretty sold on a certain area called Ballantyne (yeah, like you care) in South Charlotte that's a country club golf community that happens to be the home of John Fox, coach of the Panthers!

The house I like is on the 14th hole of the course and would be like a dream come true. I don't play golf, but I would start playing in a snap if we move onto a golf course. Right now, I'm considering transferring to UNC-Charlotte to live at home for a year. I can't see myself being happy in Kentucky knowing what I'm missing out on at home. Nothing's official, but the future is bright. :)

Marc you're a future really good golfer (aside from millionnaire :) ) so get your butt on the green ASAP. Golf is Zen.
How'd the test drives go?

The name the university officially calls it is "Conference Week." It is also known as slack week, reading week, midterm break, etc. Last week of February is the best time for us because it's right in the middle of the term when some people have just finished midterms, and others are just starting, depending on your program.

Ask me in a few months. ;) Moving to Charlotte officially late this summer as we're building a house there and we have to sell our current house before buying the new one, so a new car kind of loses priority with all of that looming. I'll be test driving some (or more like riding in them) sometime mid-2005, I assure you, and I'll provide a report then. But now, all I am thinking about is houses.

Back from L.A. Cut the trip a day short so my nephew could interview for a job opening on Friday. Trip was ok. Kind of pride myself on being a good tour guide for people who are in SoCal for their first time ( annoys my wife to no end).

So how did your week off go Marc? Looks like you got to see a helluva Cats-Lakers game.
