I wish SCMB member had regular shifts. Sometimes it works that way, but usually it's so random. In a thread like this it's especially difficult to build any sort of momentum.

My girlfriend played a bad joke on me today...

I usually can only post on a regular basis in the mornings around 8:00-9:00 (before I get into my work routine) and when I am on here it seems like I am by myself.:(

The same damn song popped into my head when I read that.

da12ken 10-12-2006 01:44 PM

Who sings it?

tobynosker 10-12-2006 03:38 PM

Eric Carmen or Celine "Because You Loved Me" Dion.

When I read it, I actually thought of Bobby Darin's song "All By Myself."

Does anyone realize that this thread is going to be nearly 1,300 pages long by the time we reach our goal of 20,000?

I'm thinking about starting a thread entitled "101 Reasons Why Pearl Jam Sucks" just to save everyone some time.

But, how do you choose which reasons to leave off and not put on your list?

It's snowing out...and actually more than a few flakes. Cool.

In the mid 90's my Mom used to love Pearl Jam, so I grew up listening to them.

I never really liked them. I know that they have a pretty big following, but I never found their music that good.

I haven't heard any of their new stuff though, but if it has the same old Pearl Jam sound to it, I wouldn't like it.

Hey Ellis...what's up in western Pennsylvania? I made it out of there last night after picking my nephew up from work.

What is up in Western PA??? Nothing is ever up over here

To be honest, although nothing exciting has gone on since the MLB all-star game (other than the Tony Bennett concert), I am proud to be from Pittsburgh. The Super Bowl parade had like 100,000 people at it, if I remember correctly, and it was probably the most fun I have ever had. The city streets were completely filled and the fans were going nuts. The fans were so great that Ken Whisenhunt decided to stay in Pittsburgh because of that parade.

The city really is a great place. If you are ever in town again, go to the Sports Rock Cafe in the strip district. It is pretty close to Primanti Bothers. It is the greatest sports bar/restaurant. It has TVs at every table. Very cool place.

Station Square is really nice too. I was down there for Christmas and at Hooters not too long ago and they have really done a nice job down there.

Also we have one of the nicest ball parks in America. PNC Park is great.

I know that the economy sucks in Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh is really fighting and has done a great job over the last few years.

As for the rest of Western PA, nothing is ever going on around here
