Well, you would be wrong. Who are htey going to get at the deadline?? Even if they better themselves by what they did at the deadline last year by 200%, they will still not be good enough of defense. Remind me agian, how many games did the deadline pickups of Nolan, Housely, and Gilmour play combined in the playoffs?? TWO GAMES!???... maybe not even that much!!!... unless you count the 6 games in which Nolan got, like, 20 PIMs, 1 assist, and 0 goals.

For the first time this season, the Senators will equal the number of games play that the Leafs had. The Senators are currently winning 2-0 in the 2nd against Phoenix. Now granted, they did blow a huge lead last night in Dallas, but if the Senators win or tie this game, they will be ahead of, or at least be equal to, the Leafs in points. The Sens started this season 12 or 14 points behind the top teams in the league... everyone was in a fuss over this, yet did anyone bother to see that the had played 8 or 9 games less than the Leafs at that point!???? I wasn't worried. And now, for the first time this season, the Senators will have played the same amount of league games as the Leafs and, by golly, they will be ahead of them in the standings.

O ya, and they are doing this tonight with only 3 losses in the last 21 games. How many times have you heard that stat? None. How many times have you heard the Leafs home point streak or some crappy stat like that? A gazillion. Give me a break. The Leafs are nothing special. They have done nothing to improve themselves over the past 4 seasons, and that is why they have gone less and less deep into the playoffs each season, while the Sens and Flyers, etc., have improved.

Anyway, sorry for htis to be your introduction to the SCMB, but there aren't many Leaf fans in these parts, and most of us hate that team around here
