If #1 hadn't been so disappointing, I'd be right there with you. I saw #4 about a hundred times and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I agree w/you about Episode 1 Catman. The only good part about that movie was the fight scene. (Ray Park was awesome)

Too bad Lucas wouldn't let anyone else write or direct. Spielberg would have hit homeruns w/all 3 prequels.

Speaking of Spielberg, is his new War of the Worlds (w/Cruise) based on the book, radio broadcast (yes, i know the radio broadcast was basde on the book) or neither?

Tsk, tsk, Shawn... :uhoh: I'll be there, too, but without the geek stuff.

I liked all of the prequels, and they keep getting better. This third one looks like the best; tons of great action and effects, and Natalie Portman! Just watch the trailer, Luther, and you can't tell me it doesn't excite you!

Marc, I'll likely see the film when it comes out. I'm sure it'll be a good one. I'm just not as excited as I was to see #1.

LOL Marc I was kidding man... I don't have a lightsaber, but I will produce a wookie call or two, depending on whether we hit the bar before the star...

unfortunately, the only way Ive been able to enjoy the prequels is to be intoxicated.

Catman is definately right. 1 blew it. Lucas is lost somewhere in a galaxy far far away, and I hope he comes back and gets this 0ne right.

Can't wait for this movie. I've already requested the day off of work so I can go opening day (assuming I can get tickets, cuz I'm not standing in line, lol).

I'll probably be there on opening night (my wife's all geeked up about it)

But the movie I really want to see is "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Universe." I've been waiting to see this movie for about 15 years since I first read the books.

well, episode III looks like it's the culmination of what the others have been kind of building up to..... so while I certainly won't endorse the first two (especially in comparison to the original gold), I suspect Anakin's turn to the Dark Side might be exceptionally delicious.
I enjoyed when he lost it and slaughtered a whole 'village' of .. were they sand people? I forget... but I would have liked to see the shots of him lightsabering through all of them with rage.

This episode III looks poised to deliver the goods.

Saw some pics of an Anakin puppet that was used during filming. I wont spoil anything, but I could definately see why he would need the Life support suit and helmet.

I think it was more dramatic the way they did it Shawndo.

the ol' 'leave it to your imagination' trick? eh... maybe.
But if I was directing, there would have been some slow motion rage shots and body parts flying off.
Although maybe Lucas was just kind of foreshadowing the character and waiting for episode III to really unleash Anakin.

Or maybe Shawn, its just the fact Lucas cant write or direct. one of the best quotes Ive seen is this: "The definative Star Wars sequel (prequel) will no be made until after Lucas passes on"
