Default An apology to the United States of America

Quote:
On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the United States of America.

We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry.

I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron, but it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all, it's not like you actually elected him or anything.

I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own.
I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defence I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours.

I'm sorry we burnt down your White-House during the war of 1812. I notice you've rebuilt it! It's very nice.
I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer, but we feel your pain.

I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you want have your friends by your side. I realise it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons.

And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologising for things in a passive-aggressive sort of way, which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this. We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

I'm Canadian. And I'm sorry.
I saw this on another board and thought it was kinda funny.

Before anyone jumps all over me.,... this is meant as a joke. I actually like Americans and just thought this was funny

That was funny.

But I do feel even better about Bush now, because if Canadians think he is a moron, I know we Americans are just fine.

Good stuff there

Canada has alot of cool stuff that I am jealous about myself. Your guys' flag kicks a** ! ( I love the maple leaf).

Bears everywhere. I like bears. They don't take junk from anyone.

The Canadian side of Niagra Falls is MUCH better then the American side.

And finally, from what I understand, you can practically smoke pot in a police station in Vancouver, and no one would care.

If only America had as many bears as Canada and could smoke pot without being hassled...we'd all be better off.

Damn straight. Actually smoke pot is just about legal here. They are debating it now... it'll happen.

Of course they want to make pot legal up north. You'd HAVE to be stonned to stay there.

That was a joke to. I like Canada...at least the Western part anyway. :

Funny...
Live here for awhile, you'd notice there's a lot more than bears and pot!

LOL...I know there is air_canada...just two good things about Canada...LOL.

I've only been to the Toronto area, it was nice. The cleanliness was amazing, especially compared to where I am living now in Pittsburgh, which should be closed down for repairs and reopened when it is suitable for living.

I've always wanted to visit western Canada, say the Vancouver area. Seems like a cool place.

No apologies necessary...and no need to thank us for making the world a better, safer place for all - after all, Canada's outdated military wouldn't be able to make an impact in the world.

..and congratulations for your hockey team, but here's a newsflash! Nobody here cares about hockey! Heck, more people care about NASCAR than hockey...hockey sucks.

I've been to Canada (Lethbridge & Calgary), must say I wasn't impressed. Canadians have a reputation of being polite and kind - not true!

Wouldn't expect Canada to help out on the Iraq issue, after all - alot of Vietnam war draft dodgers ended up going across the border to Canada to avoid prosecution.

Before anyone jumps all over me..... this is meant as a joke. I actually like Canadians and just thought this was funny.
