Default Favre To Play With Cracked Rib?

Brett Favre told ESPN that he believes he is suffering from a cracked rib.

The Minnesota Vikings QB is quoted as saying he has trouble when breathing but he expects to play the first half of tonight’s game in Houston vs. the Texans.

The Vikes are listed as 3.5-point underdogs.

He played three solid quarters and we know he can play in pain, but how serious is a cracked rib? It's disconcerting he's got problems before the season even begins. And frankly, most wouldn't be sad if his season was cut short. Wish he would have retired a Packer.

Given that he has yet to get a diagnosis from a trainer or doctor the cynic in me wonders who serious it really is. Jim Rome thinks this is just Favre building up a list of excuses so when the Vikings go 10-6 again he can say well I played all season with this list of injuries what did you expect.

He still won't miss any games - and of course I've already told you all how many Minnesota is going to win this year!
