Default The Hype Continues...

It's time for Fox to have faith in Tebow

This whole Denver Broncos season has been about faith, "leaps of" and "keeping the" and mostly "putting theirs in," a phenomenon that defied logical football explanation, and oftentimes was done in spite of mounting evidence that such belief was folly.

Whatever you think of Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, two incontrovertible facts remain:

1. The Broncos were a bad football team without a chance in hell of the playoffs before taking a leap of faith and starting him.

2. That faith has been rewarded in a playoff berth.

This incontrovertible nonsense has really got to stop.

Tebow is a horrible QB, let's face it. They win in spite of him, not because of him. He's a great teammate and guy to have, but not feature.

Regardless of the hype & what the Steelers did wrong, Tebow deserves some major props for that performance.

Impressive...

Why The Steelers Lost To Tom Tebow

Agreed that he deserves some credit for the win, but I still am not buying that this guy is a 'winner'. One quasi-successful half of a season, during which he ran a novel offense, isn't enough time to judge how much success Tebow is going to have in the long term. I don't see him ever being better than a 10-6 quaterback at best; he just doesn't have the skill and you can only will yourself so many wins.

Yep...

It's all about what a team 'doesn't do' that explains it all as a rule. The Steelers arrogance was mystifying. You just don't give anyone in the NFL a chance to be comfortable, yet that's exactly what they did.

They earned a trip home by not patiently pressuring/containing Tebow & baiting the rookie into TOs. Safe to say Belichick won't be game planning to Tebow's strengths.

You can use that same break down in the Saints/Lions game. The Lions showed an amazing blindness in not trying to control the clock & avoiding a shootout. Thought they would have learned after being filleted by the Packers in the same fashion. It wasn't about what Stafford or Johnson could do but trying to keep Brees off the field as much as possible.

Addition by subtraction.
