yeah... unless LA throws in a draft pick of some sort... i'm hoping they don't end up trading any of the other guys away though... cause jaime is really the goalie of the "future" for the kings... of course that's if he stays and i hope he does... the kings will need him once potvin retires... that's one thing why i don't think they will... unless they decide to go with cousinou(sp??)

potvin's still got 6-7 good seasons left in him, i don't really think a team with a 30 year old goalie should be worrying too much about their goalie of the future....and if storr would hafta wait that long to become a starter he'd probably demand a trade.

Where will Ray Whitney be going, if anywhere?? A lot of playoff-bound teams could use him in their line-up. He contributes semi-regularly to the offense and has a lot of experience under his belt..

Well... I think ANYTHING for Malhotra is a good deal -- he played decently for Canada at the World Junior Championships a few years back but I don't think he's comfortable at the NHL level and is underachieving according to what he was scouted as the year he was drafted... then again, I don't watch too many Ranger games . . . . . .

Glad you like this site!!... BTW, you spelt "Brodeur" wrong in your signature.. guess you don't like him too much, eh?

Looks like I have to return here if I want some good hockey discussion..

I like the deal. Malhotra never did anything.

I'd like to see Bure on the Rangers but I' rather keep York. York is one of my favorites plus he's not crazy like Fleury and not injury-prone like Lindros..

According to the MSG network guys, the Rangers aren't trading Richter. But, the Mets said they weren't interested in Piazza too..

I'd like to see Fleury go though. I doubt anyone wants him. He needs some mental help first.. We now know a reason why the Rangers are last in penalty killing...

Hey!! -- Fleury is a real good player. He has some problems -- last year with the drugs and all.. and he recovered and Canada could have never won the gold medal at last month's Olympics without him. He seemed to be good to go all year but in late February he accused the refs being "after him" all the time.

Fleury's been a real valuable player for Canada, New York, Colorado, and Calgary. Trust me, you'll miss a lot of intensity to Ranger games if you lose Theo.

according to espn.com the kings are looking at Edmonton's Anson Carter, Columbus' Geoff Sanderson, Calgary's Craig Conroy, Tampa Bay's Fredrik Modin and Buffalo's Chris Gratton. So that would talke off the leafs... I'd LOVE to see Anson come here...that would be awesome if they could get him!

you know i was thinking andrew cassells would fit in nicely with the kings... also i read this about toronto's goalie situation...

"Leafs are looking at Los Angeles for Stephane Fiset, Montreal for Jeff Hackett(isn't he out for season?) or Dallas for Eddie Belfour. They won't go to New York for Mike Richter. Expect a name like Darcy Tucker or Jonas Hoglund and a draft pick for either of these goalies above."

errr that might not have any legitamacy except for the fiset thing...

i don't think the leafs even need a goalie....cujo will be back before the playoffs and schwab is doing a great job as the starting goalie right now....he only had one bad game which was a 6-2 loss to detroit...but u can hardly blame him for that....it's detroit!
i think this year will be like last year for toronto..when everyoen was expecting quin to make a deal and get lindros...but he didn't...everyone's expecting the leafs to get a goalie...but i doubt they will
