Ya, that's true, J_sinclair.. when CuJo was injured, everyone was like, "The leafs need a goalie!!" but Shawb has only allowed 4 goals in 4 games after having a shaky start as the #1 guy, and CuJo's due back early next month. Still.... they might want a veteran guy just in case for the playoffs.

And.. ya, Carter would be a good fit in the Kings' offensive-type game, but I highly doubt Edmonton would be willing to give him up. Sure, the Kings could be "looking at" him, but I don't think the feeling is mutual.

I haven't had that good of a look at it... not to get off the thread's topic, but Hasek's mask is kinda ugly or else I was just too used to seeing him in his regular "player's helmet"-style cage.

So Tuesday's the deadline, just a few more days to go. Anyone gonna be watching the 10-hour trade deadline shows on TheScore, TSN, or SportsNet?!??... I won't.. I would, but I'll be at school

haha, yeah i'll be at school too ... but THE LEAFS GOT BARRASSO!!! that was kinda unexpected, haha .... but i guess it was kinda a gift for the leafs...they only gave up a fourth round draft pick and the leafs got pretty good insurance in case schwab gets injured .... or if cujo gets injured in the playoffs...so i think it was a great trade

from espn.com...

The Senators traded Andre Roy and a 6th round draft pick to the Lightning for Juha Ylonen....

Trevor Kidd was put on waivers.. maybe someone will pick him up?

The Penguins got Jaime Pushor from the Blue Jackets for a 4th round pick in 2003. Also they claimed Shean Donovan.

Yheeeeeeeha Yolenon!

He'll be good up front for winning big-time faceoffs. I think Roy was very valuable for the Sens because what he brings to the game is what the Sens were missing last year in the playoffs.

XTRA-690's Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton was reporting yesterday that the Kings are pursuing Edmonton's Anson Carter and New Jersey's Scott Gomez and are willing to deal Jamie Storr to get a deal done

well i'd as you all know, i'd love to see anson come here.... but at the expense of jamie... i don't know... he's been pretty loyal to the kings even though he was unhappy with not getting a lot of playing time... and it's not like he's gonna get any playing time in new joisy... maybe edmonton with salo struggling as of late...

Well, for Edmonton's sake, I hope they don't deal Carter. They're my #2 fav team in the NHL. What would they get for him? "Jamie" as it Jamie Storr?? I think the Oilers have to have confidence in Salo's abilities. He played a good game versus Ottawa in Ottawa last night in a 4-1 Edmonton win.

..or do you mean "Jamie" as in "Jamie Allison"??.. I haven't heard his name pop up on the scoresheets too much this year.. he's not playing lie the Top5 or Top10 NHL scorer we've come to know... that's what happens when you miss training camp!!!.. fill me in on how his season is going -- I have no clue!

you mean Jason Allison... right now he leads the Kings in points... 16 goals, 40 assists for 56 points... Deadmarsh is second with 25 goals, 26 assists for 51 points...and Palffy has 25 goals and 19 assists for 44 points...

Hmmmm.... well, I just looked on NHL.com and that's tied for 25th. I guess he's doing a lot better than I thought. He'd probably be in the Top10 if he hadn't missed so many games at the start of the year . . . guess I stand corrected

Another deal going thru late last night: Thrashers get D Francis Lessard from Philly for D David Harlock and a third and seventh-round draft picks.

The Kings traded Jere Karalahti and a pick in the 2003 draft pick for Predators Cliff Ronning... this trade is awesome for the Kings!! plus we don't give up Jamie! I'm happy

Ya.... Ronning is a good guy to have come playoff time. He's an experienced center that can contribute.

In another trade today, Dallas sent Benoit Brunet to my Sens for a draft pick.

Good deal for the kings....i think the kings will be the most suprising team in the west...they upset colorado (i think) last year in the first round and i think LA has the depth to do that again...maybe get furthre than the second round
