I looked on the stat sheet and Tom Poti has one goal and I thinki 13 assists, how he he worth the price of Mike York, who has over 40 points.

Well...... the Rangers aren't very deep on defense, so they picked up a good young defenseman in Poti . . . I would think the Oilers would've like to have a young d-man like that on their team but I guess they feel that they're strong enough there. In Kevin Lowe's words, "He (Mike York) has 'Edmonton Oiler' written all over him," and he's right -- all of their playoff games the past 3-4 years have been played with a lot of passion and high-speed offense, and York definitely fits that category.

..that said, I haven't really answered your comment except that the fact that the Rangers really need depth on the blue line. Well, Rem Murray also went to New York.. he has 7 goals an 19 assists..... Poti is going to be good in the future if his first two NHL seasons didn't indicate that already.

Poti was a good pick for the Rangers. They needed someone like him to make their defensive unit better. And they picked up Bure, whom I personally dislike.

Ya..... but you can't really argue with 2 goals and 1 assist in his first 2 games as a Ranger
